How I Charge Laptop from Car Battery

I have been searching for ways to teach some individuals on how to overcome outrageous power bill and also how to have power whenever they need it, the quest brought about my solar power setup which has been working for over seven months now, this means seven months of no power bill, no noisy generator disturbance etc.
Still in that same spirit, I went in search of a way to charge a 19 Volts laptop from a 12 Volts battery like car battery and 12 Volts deep cycle battery, and today, am here to show you how I charge 19 volts laptop from a car.
Portable Laptop DC Car Charger can do the work, it's available for brands like Toshiba, Asus, Lenovo Thinkpad, HP Envy, Toshiba etc.

This is a special Laptop DC Car charger sold now for laptops of different ratings, this cord connects to the cigarette lighter in your car, it’s very easy to use, just connect one end to your laptop and the other to the car and that’s all.
Some chargers are universal they come with some detachable plugs for various laptop brands

WHAT YOU MUST KNOW BEFORE YOU BUY THIS CAR CHARGER

Before you buy this cord, you need to know the following:
1.Tip Size/Connector of your laptop i.e. 3.0mm*1.0mm, 7.9mm*5.5mm. This part connects into the charging port of your laptop

2. The voltage of your laptop i.e. 15V, 20V, 19V, 18V, etc.

3. The amps of your laptop i.e. 2.1 A, 2.37A, 3.42A, 4.7A etc.

4. The wattage of your laptop i.e. 40W, 45W, 65W, 90W etc.

The above figures can be found on the power adapter of your laptop or on the reverse side. I have one laptop that I want to use here, it is a Toshiba Satellite C660D laptop, 19 volts, 3.42 Amps and 45 Watts these are the rating on the charger adapter.
Example of Volts, Watt and Amps rating of a laptop charger

THINGS YOU MUST KNOW WHEN ABOUT THIS CHARGER
1. The Input volts of this charger is between 11 to 15V, this means that as long as your car battery does not fall below 11 volts, it will continue to charge your laptop
2. Output Amps is between 3.42A to 4.74A
3. Output power is between 65W and 90W

So in a nutshell, if the Amps of your laptop falls between these two intervals: 3.42  and 4.74 Amps and watt also falls in between 65 and 90 Watts your laptop can use this DC charger.
